This Privacy Policy describes how Kahevat - Gujarati Proverbs ("the App"), developed by Devisha Foundation, collects, uses, and protects information when you use our Android application. We are committed to protecting your privacy.

1. Information We Collect

The App collects minimal information necessary to function:

• Feedback data (optional): If you voluntarily submit feedback through the Settings screen, we collect your name (optional), feedback type, and message. This is stored in a Google Spreadsheet accessible only to the developer.
• Device preferences: App settings such as dark mode, font size, and notification preferences are stored locally on your device using shared preferences. This data never leaves your device.
• Favourite proverbs: Proverbs you mark as favourite are stored locally on your device only. We do not collect or transmit this data.

2. Information We Do NOT Collect

• We do not collect your name, email address, or phone number (unless you voluntarily provide your name in the feedback form).
• We do not track your location.
• We do not collect any personally identifiable information automatically.
• We do not use analytics SDKs or crash reporting tools.
• We do not sell or share your data with any third parties.

3. Google AdMob (Advertisements)

The App displays advertisements served by Google AdMob. Google AdMob may collect device identifiers and usage data to serve relevant ads. This is governed by Google's own privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy

You can opt out of personalized ads by adjusting your device settings: Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization.

4. Internet Access

The App requires internet access to load proverbs from a Google Spreadsheet. No personal data is transmitted during this process — only the proverb data is downloaded to your device.

5. Notifications

If you enable notifications, the App schedules local notifications on your device (at 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM) to display a daily proverb. These notifications are generated locally and do not involve any external server or data transmission. You can disable notifications at any time from the App's Settings screen or from your device's notification settings.

6. Children's Privacy

The App is suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The App contains no content harmful to children.

7. Data Security

All data stored locally on your device is protected by your device's built-in security. Feedback submitted voluntarily is stored securely in a private Google Spreadsheet accessible only to the developer.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
